SIR BRYAN WILLIAMS

Beegee to his friends (all 5 million of them), Sir Bryan is widely regarded as one of our All Black greats and has led a consistent crusade to have Pasifika voices heard in the national game that they offer so much to, after cutting his teeth in the contentious 1970s tour of Apartheid South Africa and going on to score some 66 tries.

Coined a ‘nightmare to defend’ in his heyday, it’s his mix of pace, grounding and smarts (he’s a lawyer by trade) that makes his collective experiences worth listening to and his speaking engagements eye-opening on how a shy 19 year old morphed into the character he is today.

His most recent triumph has been pioneering the newly minted Moana Pasifika team in the Super Rugby competition and of course, joining his daughter’s new talent agency Liquorice where he waits to front the next Jockey campaign.
